Night Swimming with my Folks.ü and boy unplanned things just do it like no other =)

How come unplanned occasions somehow gladden people's hearts? :)

This day was really tiring, or should I say..this night was a tiring one. Oh well. The title says it all. I WENT SWIMMING WITH MY CHUMMIEST FRIENDS :) And it was just really an amazing experience. I'm ever grateful to God for giving me these folks. They rock.ü Hmm. And I should say that the coolest part of this event was this: THIS OCCASION WAS REALLY UNPLANNED. Believe me or not, we didn't plan about this. This was an unplanned, unscheduled, unintentionally prepared occasion. I mean like usually, when people have gatherings like this they really plan about it like days or weeks before the event. But this? boy. We didn't plan this a week or two before this day. We didn't plan it the other day, and boy we didn't even plan about this yesterday. It was only this afternoon when we decided to go swimming when they went to our home sweet home. They came to my house at around 12:30pm. We were talkin' about many things. But when heat devastates you, boy are you really devastated :)) Summer's in action here, and it was just so hot that time. Everyone was SWEATING. Yearight, we were sweating in gallons like what on earth! :)) We were like "It's sooooo hot! I wanna go swimming!"--then that was it. Somebody then said "What if we go swimming tonight?".Everyone in the clique agreed, jokingly. And who would've thought that that joke wouldn't be just a joke anymore. IT BECAME A SERIOUS JOKE WHICH LEAD TO THIS HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NIGHT SWIMMING =)

It was crazy. We went to Kalipayan resort (located here in our hometown Cavite, Philippines) at around 5:30pm. When we got there, it was like BOOOOOOOOM! Everyone was like bursting out, so excited, and just can't imagine how happy each one of us was. REAL CRAZY! :) It didn't take so long before we got to choose our cottage. We stayed in our cottage for like minutes, holding back our enthusiasm of diving into the water. Yes it was funny. We were with my mother and Mimi's mom. They went to a mini market nearby the resort to buy snacks and all that stuff. While waiting, we recorded videos, told stories, boy those were crazy moments!ü When my mom and Mimi's mom were already there, BOY LIKE WHAT ON EARTH WE WEREN'T ABLE TO HOLD BACK OUR ENTHUSIASM OF DIVING INTO THE WATEEEERRRRRRR =]] We even asked my mom to record a video of our very first "dive in". and heck yea we already JUMPED INTO THE WATER! :)

Crazy happiness like no other. Crazy things really happen when you're under the water. LOL LOL LOL! hahahaha. We did anything crazy! hahaha! I don't know what to say first. Uhm. We did things like chicken-fight and I was very good at this game! I always won. hmm. My bestfriend Jeorge, who is an amateur swimmer taught us some swimming lessons, and I can't believe I actually learned how to do the real and proper diving into the water. I never knew I was gonna learn it, like whatever. But he even gave me compliments about my diving style and said that I do well in diving. BOY WAS I REALLY FLATTERED :) Hmm. We danced.uhm.dived.chicken fights.took pictures.recorded videos. and oh there was this one crazy, skanky, and a lil bit really disgusting stuff we did--but hey we really think it's cool and fun! So here's what we did: WE BLEW WATER RIGHT ON EACH OTHER'S FACES =)) that was toooooooooooooooooooooo CRAZY! absolutely! Wanna know who's the firestarter? YOURS TRULY :]] Hahaha. I started doing it and they did it as well. Hmm. It was the time when Jeorge was scaring me and he was like chasing me, and boy he wouldn't go away. I thought of a thing that would stop him from chasing me and that's what I did. I took in some small amount of water from the pool, didn't swallow it and blew it on his face =)))))))) Pretty crazy. And everyone did it then. But too bad, one of us, Debby didn't do it right! Instead of blowing the water out, SHE ACCIDENTALLY SWALLOWED IT (after taking in some small amount of water)! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

This was a happy moment. As been said, this was not really scheduled, this was unplanned. Actually, for us Skwaters(name of our group) unplanned things would always do. I mean like this wasn't just the first time that we didn't plan about something that we never thought would be a great thing. When we made our crazy happy music videos, THOSE WERE UNPLANNED! Those were impromptu, on-the-spot, and really extemporaneous! But the miracle is WE DO FIND PLEASURE IN UNPLANNED THINGS.

SCOUT RECOGNITION: chosen leaders..--and a little reunion before the day ends.ü

Five of the recognized and chosen leaders/officers of UCC's Scouting Program for next schoolyear were seen to have an enthusiastic spectacle with their great achievement. Before the day ends, they were also seen to have some spectacular "knot"--which they find it really KNOTTY. Hmm. Will they solve this?

Today was our Scout Recognition Day. Every single Scout was to be recognized today in our school, Unida Christian Colleges. This was the day where Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Star Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Senior Scouts were to be acknowledged for their efforts as responsible Scouts, and to have appreciation for them too. Same thing with the 3rd Year Rover Scouts. But this was also not just an ordinary Scout Recognition for the 3rd Year Rovers. This day was pretty big for us, Rovers for we would know who were the NEXT and SUCCEEDING Rover Leaders of the school for the next schoolyear.

The program started past 8:00am. All of the Scouts in school lined up properly to prepare for their entrance to be done by marching. In just a few seconds of lining up, the Scouts started to march to enter the gymnasium properly. When everyone was already there, BLAST. hohohoh it just started. There's a lot of events like recognition of different classes of Scouts, special number, message from our school administrator, and more. But for the 3rd Year Rovers, the announcement of the next officers was the most-awaited moment that time. When we heard that they would be already announcing the succeeding next Rover leaders, every 3rd Year Rover Scout was nervous and anxious. We were all worried with our own what-if's and i hope's/i wish's. Some were worried of not being able to be one of the 17 leaders and the 3 overall leaders (making a total of 20 leaders), and some were like "i hope i'm one of the leaders". Our school administrator began announcing names from the bottom rank(17), until it reached name of the Rover Leader Rank 7. I was in high spirits and just totally happy when I heard her say "Anne Janica Catabay"!. I was the 7th leader and I am satisfied with my position, believing that I've done everything that would bring me to this position. I'm not really that yearning for the position of the Overall Leader. To become just ONE OF THE LEADERS = SATISFACTION :) Congratulations to my fellow new Rover Leaders!ü

If you amigos must know, I've my top4 chummiest friends and the name of our group is Skwaters(we are all 5 in the group). AND I'M JUST VERY GRATEFUL TO KNOW THAT ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF SKWATERS WERE ONES OF THE NEWLY CHOSEN ROVER LEADERS :] That's just total happiness for us. We were all happy congratulating each other and congratulating the others and ofcourse the overall leader. But after this enthusiasm, there was like a catch. It was 5pm that time. We didn't go home yet. We had some meeting..a reunion actually. We know we have to solve something, 'cause that obstacle is killing the 5 of us. We just don't know what to do. I'd not like to mention what that catch is, but we all know we're not having too much fun with the "auxiliary society". Hahaha. I understand that people might not understand what is this thing that has to be understood.

There's just a question for us:
Can Skwaters disentangle the entanglements they're into right now?

Shedding some tears in a movie =(

Alright. It's already 1am,3/24/09 here in my country and it's not so unbelievable that I'm still awake :) hahahaha. I don't know if this blog will be too short or long, but I'll just try to exert effort on my fingertips in typing, and we'll see..okay?ü

3/23/09(Monday), I went to school for my clearance paper. I had to have everything cleared with all my school requirements. But there was a little bit of a problem..and let's just not try to mention it :] hahaha.

What I really want to talk about in this blog is the movie that I watched a couple of minutes ago. It's a Filipino movie entitled "Baler". It's basically the Church of Baler here in the Philippines. It's a love story, and boy I'm sure my folks are pretty shocked to hear that "Janica's watching that kind of movie". It's pretty shocking and I think it partly inappropriates my whole personality. I may not look the type but I do watch this kind of movie and I was even like dumbfounded to find myself crying because of this movie. AAAANYYWAAAAAY! I've always said this before: I may look and act tough on the outsidebut inside me is a little different. There's just too much tenderness inside me and I think I have a fluffy heart :] hahaha.

I won't be telling the whole story, but I'll be like telling some kind of a hint. It's about two groups of people here in our country, the Philippines-the Rebels(the Filipinos) and the group of the Spanish Soldiers/Spaniards who are both fighting over for the possession of Baler. Spaniards would want to take possession of the Baler, but if the Rebels prevailed then Baler would be free. Feliza (Anne Curtis-leading lady) is a daughter of a Rebel and Celso(Jericho Rosales-leading man) is a Spaniard...only to be known that these two love each other. That's just a big problem. If someone finds their situation out, one of them gets killed or even both. In this story they proved that nothing could hinder their relationship no matter how often fatality follows their fate. I'd stop telling things, if you want to find out YOU FOLKS BETTAH WATCH.ü It's a wonderful movie, freakin SUPERB! :] No wonder why Anne Curtis won the Best Actress Awards for this movie.

This is such a heartfelt film. hmm. The exact reason I cried? simple: Love is difficult in a time of war. You'll never know where could it lead you and tragedy's always waiting. And when tragedy's rolled up its red carpet, it's as quick as thunder that...you'll never see it comin'. =|
