The Battle of East & West: Pacquiao vs. Hatton --PACQUIAO KNOCKS HATTON OUT IN THE 2ND ROUND!

Boy this is nothing but a sweet victory for our very own Manny Pacquiao, and a huge honor that boosts and adds to the Philippines'/Filipinos' reputation. On May 2, 2009-a Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, United States Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao had once again triumphed as he defeated Britain's Ricky "Hitman" Hatton. The Battle of East & West: Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton was a very highly-anticipated match for almost everyone on Earth. There were so many expectations and predictions. Ofcourse, British people predicted Hatton would win via decision and we, Filipinos expected Pacquiao would win via knockout. Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach even said that Manny would knock Hatton out in the 3rd round. But it was earlier as not expected -the match ended in two rounds.

Everyone was excited. Though we're too far away from MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, United States we could still feel the tension. It just seemed that the time was like thunder that was very quick though and you'd never see it comin'. National anthems were sung. While the lights were off, people cheered the two as each one started to walk down the arena and entered the ring. Half-Filipino WWE Superstar Batista joined Pacquiao's entourage and accompanied him as the pound-for-pound king made his way to the ring. Before the match Pacquiao kneeled down at the corner of the ring and bowed to pray (he normally does this before every match). After everything, it was just like woah.

Pacman delivers left-hook on Hitman.

It was quite quick actually. In the first round Pacquiao knocked Hatton down twice. Pacquiao delivered great combination of punches at firing speed. The Pacman ended up the match by giving the Hitman a dreadful left hook, knocking Hatton out.

As Manny won every single Filipino on Earth was just in high spirits and cloud nine! We were all jumping, shouting, screaming, and bouncing in joy. CONGRATULATIONS MANNY AND YOU MAKE US ALL PROUD! GREAT JOB!ΓΌ

After this there are already new expectations and predictions that Pacquiao's next opponent will be Floyd Mayweather who has just returned boxing to face Juan Manuel Marquez in July. We can't tell, but who knows? If it becomes real then that would be another fight of devastation for Pacquiao!
