Unimagined Fluctuation: Chapter 3/3

Chapter 1
Chapter 2

Randy was bowled over with what she just said. He paused for a moment thinking of what to say next, but he probably spent that short moment getting all perplexed by the lady standing in front of him at that moment. “This could be or could not be just a crazy dream.” He thought. In his mind, he spoke, “She is not Nicole? Does she really have that anger that she would have to get me lost and try to make me believe that she is not really the one I think she actually is? What is she up to? This is crazy.”

“Nicole? Please don’t make any inappropriate actions now, I seriously just wanna talk things over with you and make up everything to you.”

“I am not being inappropriate. But I am not Nicole, believe me.”

“What are you talking about?! Please don’t make it even harder for me. You can pour out all your anger to me, but please!! NOT THIS WA—“

“I am not Nicole! Look carefully…” She insisted and slowly brushed her hair away from her left shoulder, exposing the left side of her neck.

Confused, Randy followed and looked at it. He kept giving it a concentrate look for a few seconds until he realized that something was wrong; her blemish on her neck was missing…HER ANTARCTICA-SHAPED BIRTHMARK ON THE NECK WAS GONE. This made him think intensely. He focused his eyes back on her face, which now looked troubled as if there was something bothering her too. Curiously staring, he examined her face carefully. Her eyes… something was different with them. He realized it’s her eye apex that was shaped differently, and their depth seemed different too. The distance between her eyes seemed narrower, and it made him think of since when did she have that mole under her lower left eyelid. “Could I be really wrong? Is she really not Nicole?” He thought. Randy was intensely bewildered now. He looked down to the ground and questions started entering his mind. He got extremely confused. He knew something wasn’t right. He raised his head back up and stared at her once more…

“Who—...Who…are…you?” Randy asked expressionlessly.

She could only give him a worried look. Randy seemed more jumbled, hardly trying to figure out what was going on.

“Randy… I think it’s about time for you to learn about all of this.” She mysteriously spoke.

“I--… I just…don’t… get it. Wha--…What do you mean?” Randy questioned, his voice was fully nervous.

“Randy… I am Ella, Ella Danielles.”

“So is this what I really need to know? You’re telling me this is what I’ve to learn about? I have to learn that you have changed your name for good?!”

“I’m Ella, NICOLE’S TWIN SISTER – one that she never, ever told you about.” she firmly said, making sure that Randy heard it well and got it right.

“WHAT?! Sister? Nicole has a twin sister? How come she never told me?”

“I don’t know either. Only a very few of her friends know about me.”

“Wow. Just wow! This is entirely surprising and just crazy. This is really weird for me. Unbelievable. I do believe you though; I mean it’s pretty convincing that you’re her twin. It’s just that… I’m having a hard time believing all of this. Real crazy.”

“Don’t worry, I understand you. It’s really shocking, especially for you.”

“I’m sorry for being desperate and all forceful with you earlier. I just really needed to talk to Nicole so I thought of grabbing “that chance”. I just thought it was really her. I just thought she was really…back.”

“She will never be back, Randy. Not anymore.” Ella said gloomily.

“Has she stayed in New York for good? Is that why she’s never comin—"

“Nicole’s already gone, Randy. She’s already dead.” Replied Ella very dolefully.

Randy’s face totally paled upon hearing Ella’s words. He felt like a pang in his heart; the kind of pain that shoots him through. If Ella’s words could kill, he would be probably already buried 6 feet under now. If he had one wish at that very moment, he would’ve wanted to get himself out of that very scene of his life in any way he could, he would’ve wished that he just never found out those things he “needed to know”, and that they should’ve just remained unrevealed forever…so he would not suffer this way.

Randy could not manage to speak. Ella knew how he was feeling at the time; she knew how hard it was for him. He wasn’t answering back. But just by looking at his tearful and pained eyes, Ella knew that Randy wanted a clear explanation about everything. He had to understand these things.

“Randy, I’m truly, very sorry it had to go this far,” Ella sympathetically apologized to Randy while she lightly rubbed his shoulders to show empathy. “A week after her 26th birthday, when we found out through one of your friends that you had left for Australia without any last words to her, Nicole’s life was miserable. She never understood why you had to leave like that. You just left unexpectedly, without warning, without explaining anything to her.”

“I was… afraid.” Randy said sadly.

“Why?”

“The day after her birthday, I got a call from my mom in Australia telling me that I needed to stay there for good to take care of my family’s business. She told me I had no other choice because my father was sick and there was no other person to help her in the business. I had to immediately get there, before my father passes away. I was afraid to tell Nicole that I had to stay there for good, so I just left without telling her because I thought that when I got to Australia, I could fix things quick and be able to convince my mom to let me go back and stay here again in Florida. But things were just complicated, I wasn’t able to come back and I never got to see her again. Believe me, I never meant to hurt her. I was hurt too.”

“Oh my gosh Randy! If only you told her the real reason! Nicole would’ve—“

“ELLA, I WAS AFRAID! IT WAS NOT EASY! I know it was a mistake, I was wrong that I didn’t tell her but I just didn’t wanna make her feel bad that I had to leave so I thought it was better off not knowing so I just left and –“

“But Randy! You asked her to marry you on her birthday! You proposed to her! That was your birthday present for her, remember?!”

“I know, Ella! And that’s why I knew it would only disappoint her if she found out that I had to leave her so I decided not to tell her and just leave!”

“But you left without saying goodbye to her! IT WAS BEYOND PAIN! She got depressed and she ended up being sick! Her sickness was just unbearable she couldn't fight back anymore. She was so weak, it was just definitely her time to depart this life. And we never saw her again.”

Randy was so hurt with their conversation, he wasn’t able to answer back anymore. He ran his fingers through his hair and ruffled it in frustration. Ella felt a bit guilty for kinda grasping the fact that Randy was totally wrong and then slapping it in his face. Her tongue just seemed uncontrollable that those heavy words escaped her lips. “Randy, I’m sorry.” She apologized.

“Ella… will you just… take me to her grave now?” Randy pleaded.

She felt pity and immediately consented to his request. She nodded her head yes and they got going.

***************************************************************************

Randy mourned and lamented the loss of his one true love. Ella just stood there and watched him shed tears, feeling very apologetic for him.

“I only had one Nicole. Only had one life, one chance. But I blew it. Had I known better before, I could’ve reconciled and patched things up at once. It’s too late. Of all the pieces of regrets I own, this, by far…is the one that I consider my greatest remorse.” Randy’s conscience spoke with him as he cried his heart out.

Chapter 1

“Goodmorning Ms. Danielles. I know it’s your day off today, but I hope you don’t mind doing me a small favor.”

“Sure ma’am, what would that be?”

“Will you please make me some waffles? My family just got back last night from Puerto Rico, we’re having a great lunch today and I need your delicious waffles! I’m really sorry, you know I could find NOBODY ELSE who makes delicious waffles BUT YOU.”

“Ahahaha! That’s okay ma’am! I will make ‘em absolutely delish! Don’t worry, I won’t let you down!”

“Great! Just deliver the waffles at the restaurant by 11am. And thank you very much, Ms. Danielles!”

“Sure ma’am, anytime. I’ll be there in a little while.”

She hung up and immediately started making waffles for her boss.

A few moments later the waffles were done. Seeing her nicely prepared food has always amused her and has always made her feel good about herself. She moved her face forward, nearing the freshly made waffles and inhaled its delightful scent. “Ahh, it smells really yummy. Ma’am is sure gonna like these.” she confidently said. 11am was still like 45 minutes away. “I think it’ll be great to get there at a much earlier time.” she thought. She placed the waffles inside the box, went to find her car keys, walked up to her car, and left.

****************************************************************************

Randy pulled over his car next to the restaurant which had the familiar name that Zeke had told him earlier: Bistro Juliana. “Looks like this is it.” Randy whispered to himself. He was hesitant about getting off the car and proceeding to the restaurant, but he eventually made up his mind and got going. He was kinda timid to go inside Bistro Juliana though, so he decided to rather stay outside and just sit there, waiting for something “unconventional” to happen.

While sitting, thoughts started playing in his mind again. He was thinking of what would be the right thing to do if he really gets to see her today. What way of approach he was gonna do seemed to perplex him and make him worry more; he was nervous about actually seeing her again.

Suddenly, some lady walked her way toward the door of Bistro Juliana, and it caught Randy’s eyes, his perplexing thoughts earlier got all erased when this lady came to his sight.

Randy could not believe what he was actually seeing now: a familiar brunette, her hair fell down just about inches past her shoulders, that familiar slender body, that familiar gait; the way she walked, the posture, everything was familiar to his eyes and he could say that nothing had really changed over the past year.

“Nicole.” Randy silently uttered the name he hadn’t heard of, and which also his lips hadn’t pronounced in such a long time. He was literally frozen and was like permanently glued in his seat as he just watched her walk toward the door, entering Bistro Juliana. He didn’t know what to do and how to approach her.

Randy was completely feeling uneasy and butterflies just started flying within his stomach. He wasn’t moving, still thinking of what to do once she comes out of that door; once he sees her again.

Shortly after being inside the resto, she finally walked out the door and this left Randy no other choice but to run to her and speak to her again. He just went in; for a moment he didn’t care if he didn’t have a thing to tell her or about what he would say to her. All that mattered to him at that very millisecond was the chance of speaking to her again.

“NICOLE!” Randy shouted.

She stopped walking, but didn’t look back. Randy called her for the second time, but she didn’t look back still and proceeded walking. This time, Randy already grabbed her arm and turned her to face him. Now they were looking at each other.

Their eyes meet again, is the spark still there or could it be all gone?

“he-he--..Hey Nicole”, Randy nervously said. She wasn’t responding and she only oddly stared at him. As they both looked each other in the eyes, Randy felt a bit awkward.

While looking at her being all silent, he just had no clue as to what she could possibly be thinking of him now. He certainly hoped she didn’t hold a grudge against him or anything like that (after what he had done to her before); but if she was still angry, Randy hoped that they could just both properly talk things over. He decided to break the awkward silence…

“Uhm Hi. So how are things go—“ Randy discontinued talking when she avoided eye contact with him and attempted to run away from him. “Nicole! Hey wait!!!” Randy yelled while he ran fast, trying to catch her up. “Nicole!!! Please stop running!” He yelled again but she wouldn’t stop. Now he was drawing near to her, and finally grabbed her arm, making her stop.

“Nicole…” Randy murmured while panting, he was out of breath from running fast. He still didn’t let go of her arm, just to make sure that she doesn’t run away again.

“Nicole, please… if you’re mad you don’t need to avoid me or run away from me! I know you were hurt and we have left things undone, questions unanswered and all. Please, let me explain everything, Nicole. Let’s talk, please, c’mon Nicole.” Randy pleaded with her, his voice noticeably desperate.

She didn’t respond, still. All she had was the strange look on her face; her eyes seemed to be full of anxiety while she watched Randy plead with her. She tried to get away of Randy’s tight grip and pull her arm back to her and attempted to run once more, but Randy immediately managed to stop her again.

“Please Nicole! Please don’t do this to me.” Randy earnestly begged. “If you just give me a chance to talk and explain everything, please let me have that chance Nicole… I can’t contain this any longer, Nicole just let me expl—“

“I am not Nicole.” She unconventionally said at once, tone of seriousness in her voice.

Unimagined Fluctuation: Chapter 1/3

A glow from rising sun can already be seen. It’s been a hard week for Randy, and all he probably wants now is to sleep in. For the whole previous week he had been working his butt off, meeting different clients, and covering different events and illustrating advertisements; what a tough week for him. He will probably just ignore the alarm, stay in bed, and get up late. He thinks about spending his weekend by just chillin’ out at his home, trying to unwind from the heavy stress he has just gone through.

He was sound asleep and was like dead to the world when his telephone rang and gave buzz to his uninterrupted sleeping (which was now interrupted). His telephone was just located on top of an end table which was placed right beside his bed, so it wasn’t impossible for him to be awakened.

Feeling disrupted, he slowly got up to answer the freakin’ phone.

“Hello?” Randy huskily spoke, hardly trying to produce a not-so-gruff-morning-voice.

“RANDY!!! Hey wassup, man?!” A loud voice answered back in a strong and familiar gangsta accent.

Recognizing who was behind that familiar voice, he annoyingly sighed as he figured out that it was only his always-overexcited pal, Zeke. Randy had enough knowledge about Zeke being born a “natural interrupter” on all kinds of levels, but he just couldn’t believe that Zeke could even try ruining the only long and peaceful sleep he would ever have at the time.

“Yeah Zeke what do you want?” Randy asked in annoyance.

“Oh are you sort of mad or something? Did I just interrupt your sleep? Lemme guess, you were supposed to intentionally oversleep today weren’t you, bro? HAHA!” Zeke sarcastically asked and mockingly laughed as he tried to playfully mess with Randy on the phone.

Randy paused for a while before answering back. He was annoyed and completely clueless as to why Zeke called him up this early. Whatever reason Zeke could’ve had for calling him up so early, Randy just hoped that it was as valid and as acceptable as he thought it to be, that it would be worth interrupting his almost-wonderful sleep that morning.

“Okay Zeke.. Just make sure that you have a good explanation for ruining my sleep alright? ‘Cause if you don’t have a good one I’ll break your face into microscopic pieces and I mean it.”

“Man now c’mon! Can you not be so hot headed? Haha. Listen, I got some news for ya.”

“Well yeah I could clearly see that barf-face. You only call me up when you’re up for spreading rumors. But will you turn the freakin’ music down over there first before telling stories?! What’s with the loud music anyways?!!”

“Oh that… well you see ahh, hahaha. I’m actually inside a hotel-like club right now, been here for the last 8 hours and tell you what, party here is just non-stop! I mean dude, could you even imagine a party at night that goes on till morning and I mean till sunrise?!! HAHA! MAN THIS IS JUST AWESOME! I knew going out with Carlene was the best decision I ever made!” Zeke joyfully exclaimed with bated breath.

“Who the fudge is Carlene?”

“I met her yesterday at the football field when I watched a game with an old friend. I don’t know man, it was very fast. It all started in a friend-of-a-friend-meeting-type-of-thing and it all just went so quick that I felt like something great was really comin’ up and it wasn’t any longer that we kinda got wired up with each other and felt connected and I ended up being invited to this night party of hers and BOOM! Everything just went great and totally fun and you know what dude? SHE’S JUST TOO MUCH OF A DAZZLING BABE! And that’s not all Randy boy, I also got to ---“

“ZEKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Randy loudly yelled at Zeke to cut him off and bring his endless talking to an actual end.

“Whoa did I say something wrong dude?” Zeke asked, quite shocked at Randy’s reaction.

“DUDE?! ARE YOU KIDDIN’ ME?! IT’S FREAKIN’ 7:15AM, IT’S FREAKIN’ SO EARLY AND YOU CALLED ME UP, INTERRUPTING MY SLEEP, JUST TO TELL ME THAT YOU HOOKED UP WITH SOME GIRL YOU MET FROM WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME?!!!!!! WHAT ON EARTH MAN! “ Randy shouted, completely maddened.

“Whoa whoa hey! Easy cowboy! Will you get a grip? OFCOURSE I GOT SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU! I mean I ofcourse gotta let you know ‘bout who I’m going out with and all that stuff, but it’s not really about that, man c’mon!” Zeke explained.

“ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!! Then what are you really supposed to tell me?!” Randy asked impatiently.

“Well I gotta know if you’re ready to know this, ‘cause I don’t know… it will surely surprise you, unless you don’t give a heck ‘bout it anymore you know and even if you ---“

“Okay man will you just get to the point and say it straight now?!” Randy impatiently asked once more.

“I will I will, but just be prepared and brace yourself and stand back ‘cause I’m not sure but you might splash when you actua---“

“FINE!!! FINE!!! I GET IT ALRIGHT, NOW WHAT IS IT?!!!”

“NICOLE IS BACK!” Zeke exclaimed, his voice full of excitement.

Randy paused before responding to Zeke. His eyes widened. He felt like he was not sure of what had Zeke just said or that he just didn’t know how to respond to what Zeke said. He was hesitant, but after a short while he responded to Zeke, wanting to clarify what he had just heard.

“Ni—Nicole who?” Randy asked, his voice quivered a little, full of uncertainty in his tone.

“DANIELLES.” Zeke said dryly.

When he realized that Randy wasn’t answering back, Zeke broke the awkward silence.

“Yes it’s your Nicole Danielles, I mean…. Formerly yours. I saw her yesterday at a restaurant when we stopped by there to pick up some of Carlene’s friends to go to her party. It was a quick glance though, right after Carlene’s friends got in my car I immediately drove our way to the club. But I was sure of what I saw; it was really Nicole, I just can’t be wrong it was her.”

Randy was completely taken aback. Zeke’s words just totally silenced him and left him all voiceless and just completely at a loss of words. He could not believe every word Zeke had told him.

“Ughh Randy? Hey man you still there?”

“Please… please tell me this ain’t some kind of prank or else…”

“Randy this isn’t a joke! I really saw her and if you---“

“OR ELSE I’LL KILL YOU BARF-FACE!” Randy yelled at Zeke deafeningly.

“Randy, get a grip! Now if you’re half-awake-half-asleep still then I think I’d better call you back later and you just go back to sleep first till you get enough rest, because I think you’re not in your right mind at the moment. Once you’re up later I will just have to retell my story and we’ll see if you can get it right by that time.” Zeke explicated.

“I am fully awake…but please! I feel like I’m dreaming because of what I just heard.” answered Randy.

“Hahaha. It’s your fault, man. I already told you from the start to be ready before hearing my news. But no, you wanted no time to prepare and wanted me to say everything directly! I knew you would be surprised in the first place. See? I warned you!” replied Zeke in what seemed like an “all-knowing” tone.

“Shut up, will you? Man! Heck yeah I’m surprised. I wasn’t prepared for this.”

“So now that you already know, what are you up to?”

“I’m not sure, dude. But… but, I THINK I WANNA GO SEE HER.”

“Well? That’s…. cool? I think? Haha. I mean nothing’s wrong with that I guess…unless if you let things get awkward between you two when you guys meet again, after a year. Wow, dude! It’s been a long time!”

“Yeah, I just realized that. I hope that seeing her again won’t be a mistake.”

“Yeah, well you won’t figure it out if you won’t try. So go meet her right away!”

“But where exactly here in Florida am I supposed to go look for her? Got any clue as to where she resides?”

“Actually, no. But when I saw her yesterday, it seemed like she was working in that restaurant. I could tell by the uniform she was wearing that she was employed there. She even served dishes to the customers so yeah.”

“Good point. What’s the name of the restaurant?”

“It’s called Bistro Juliana.”

“Right. I’ll search it around. Or better yet, I’ll try google-mappin’ it.”

“Okay, man. Just let me know if something happens alright?”

“Alright, man thanks. Later.” Randy hung up.

Randy put the phone down and sat on his bed. He started to think deeply about things. He still couldn’t believe everything him and Zeke talked about in their phone conversation. He never imagined that her old flame would ever be back, after they split up a year ago.

As he was having deep thoughts, he suddenly laid his eyes on his cabinet that had 3 drawers. For some reason, the 3rd drawer was slightly open. He believed that inside that drawer, he had kept everything that would remind him of Nicole. He pulled it open and found an old book. He took it and opened it on the last page. Slipped in between the pages is a photo of him and Nicole. He profoundly looked at the photo and tried reminiscing the old times, those special moments…the good times they had. He dredged up all the good memories they had; which he thought were already and will forever be buried. Randy knew how badly he hurt Nicole, one time big time. He was afraid, yes he had hurt her but he got hurt twice as bad. Over the previous year, all he did was to occupy himself with different things just to be able to get Nicole off his mind, and manage to move on with his life. But with a single phone call, it all comes back. He doesn’t have any clue if Nicole’s still mad at him; she might be even full of wrath against him…HE DOESN’T REALLY KNOW. But now that she’s back, all his hardships of forgetting her to move on for the whole year collapsed in just a snap of a finger. Nicole is back, he never expected it. He didn’t see this coming.

Is it that late to greet you folks a HAPPY NEW YEAR?

WHAT'SUPPIE BLOGGER FOLKS?!!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! ;)

Hahahaha. Holy smokes. I know I know, I haven't kept in touch in like quite a long time. Reason? I mean.. REASONS? ;) Well ugh, let's see. Man where do we start. Okay uhm, well uhm..after my last post here (which was actually last month and last year at the same time) I think I just kinda "underwent" basically a lot of things. And I'm sorry that I can't even identify each of em. Hahaha. I don't know, like.. after that post things just came rushin' and I just had to deal with them in every special way I could. They were a little bit too crazy and devastating but I believe my Lord and Savior was the one who kept me strong through the tough times ;) JUST LIKE THE USUAL, GOD GUIDES ME EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. Thank You, my King. But yeah despite those crazy things, my Christmas and New Year moments went very fun, memorable, and just awesome.

A week after 2011 had just started, I was actually suppose to go touch blogger and see what I could create here but then, MIDTERM EXAMS WEEK JUST INTERFERED MY WONDERFUL PLANS. HAHAHAHAHA! lol Well yeah, I just had a whole week of suffering and today was our last day of exams and boy am I just too grateful that it's all overrrrrrr! But most importantly, I am wholeheartedly grateful to the Lord for guiding me well over the whole week. He was WHAT and WHO I always needed, and will always need to help me pull off through the toughest times of life, and I am sincere when I say that :)

The day before the midterms week I made a promise that at that moment, I should keep myself focused on the exams just for that whole week. And once midterms week is ended, I will focus on some other things.

AND NOW THAT DEVASTATION WEEK IS OVER, IT'S ALL GONNA BE MADSICK FOLKS! Fudge I missed blogger like heck ;)
